Microsoft Software and Systems Academy
- Australia (MSSA-AU) Offerings

MSSA-AU is a full-time, 17-week, funded technical training program that incorporates live instruction, hands-on virtual labs, real-life application scenarios, and opportunities for certifications to prepare transitioning service members and former serving/already separated members for challenging tech jobs in any industry.

Microsoft is committed to empowering transitioning Australian Defence Force (ADF) service members and former serving/already separated members through relevant training that leads to meaningful careers in tech.

MSSA-AU is open to transitioning Australian Defence Force (ADF) service members and former serving/already separated members. Microsoft will provide free MTA certification exam vouchers as needed to candidates  who have already submitted application documentation. No vouchers are provided in support of other listed qualifying certification exams.

What will you learn?

Eligibility

Successful completion of MSSA-AU results in a pathway towards Microsoft certification and a job interview with Microsoft (or one of its hiring partners). MSSA-AU specialises in either Cloud Application Development (CAD) or Server & Cloud Administration (SCA).

In addition to technical curriculum, MSSA-AU offers a 
variety of professional development opportunities. 
Microsoft provides students opportunities to engage with technical mentors and industry leaders in a professional and technical capacity. Microsoft also partners with MSSA-AU students in career planning, professional skills-building (including resume writing and interview techniques), and 
job search strategies.

Former serving/already 
separated members must:

• Provide an Interim Service Certificate
• Provide a completed AC853 Form (and, if 
transition date falls after MSSA-AU program 
start date, a signed Leave Form
• Provide a current, valid Microsoft Technology 
Associate (MTA) certification, CompTIA certification 
(SCA only), or Pearson Vue IT Specialist certification 
for admissions verification.
